My Current Beauty Favourites:
1. Olay Pro-X Cleansing System
I initially wanted to try the Clarisonic, but when I heard about Olay's very similar and less expensive alternative, I decided to give this one a go. I've been using it for about two months now and I really am loving it! I use it just about every other day, and it exfoliates my skin so well, leaving it noticeably more soft and smooth -- I can definitely tell my skin just looks and feels healthier overall ever since I've started to use this.
2. MAC Extra Dimension Highlighter - Whisper of Gilt
I rarely apply this skin finish; I use it the seldom time I opt for foundation (instead of tinted moisturizer) for a night out, going to an event, etc....though the odd time I do use it, I LOVE the effect it creates. It literally does provide that "extra dimension," or extra umph for one's complexion that comes across wonderfully in photographs. I apply it to my temples, over my cheekbones, and bridge of my nose to highlight these areas specifically.
3. Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer
One of my two favourites tinted moisturizers, hands down. I especially love the illuminating version because it truly does give me a dewier look overall -- when I use this, there's no need to use a highlighter because it leaves my skin GLOWING as soon as I apply even just a minimal amount. It feels so light on the skin yet still provides great coverage (it's buildable)! I'm now obsessed with tinted moisturizers (especially for Summer) and makes me want to stray away from using foundation altogether.
4. MAC Strobe Cream
This stuff is unreal. I mean, I can't live without it, seriously. When I'm not using my LM tinted moisturizer (above) and want a quick fix to make my skin glow, this product does the job. If you use a matte foundation and like to have the glowy/dewy look every so often, you can easily just mix a little bit of the strobe cream into your foundation, and voila! It really does brighten up one's complexion, and a little goes a very long way!
5. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
I haven't tried many hair masques, but this one is amazing! I've used it 2-3 times a week for just over a month now, and my hair has become noticeably softer and shinier. I apply heat to my hair frequently, so aside from using the Moroccanoil serum, I knew I needed to do some kind of mild treatment a few times a week, and this one has definitely delivered great results. I will buy the bigger tub size of the Macadamia repair masque as soon as this bottle's done.
6. Benefit Girl Meets Pearl
I've had Girl Meets Pearl for a while now, and it's another of my favourite highlighters (can you tell I'm really into highlighting right now? Haha). It's sheer and buildable, and gives my cheeks a very natural healthy glow, lifting the cheekbones, as well. Easy to throw into your purse a re-apply throughout the day!
7. Korres Quercetin & Oak Night Cream
Okay so I've been using this product for only about two weeks, and I'm already in love. Korres really is a wonderful skincare brand known for it's natural & top-quality ingredients. After washing my face every night and then applying moisturizer, I now apply this night cream as well. This cream also works as an anti-wrinkle and aging product; I know I'm not overwhelmed with wrinkling at the moment, but I have noticed areas around my eyes and mouth where there use to be tiny wrinkles and lines, those have now cleared. Yes, this stuff definitely works!
8. Lancome Renergie Eclat Multi-Lift Tinted Moisturizer
My other favourite tinted moisturizer. Not as illuminating as Laura Mercier's, but it does do a great job at simply evening out one's skin tone, and also feels so light on the skin. I have it in shade 2 (I believe there are only 3 shades), and it blends into my natural skin colour perfectly.
9. LUSH Translucent Face Powder
What's not to love about LUSH's products?! All natural, baby! For days where I want my tinted moisturizer to stay put and last a little longer than they normally would on their own, I sweep some of LUSH's face powder on my T-zone. It's super light, and when you use a minimal amount, it doesn't settle into lines. And most importantly, it really is translucent, and doesn't give you that subtle (but still there) wash of white over the face that comes across in photographs (HATE that). This product has helped me renew my faith in finishing powders! (P.S. Just tried to google this and I don't think it's being sold yet! This was given to me from the magazine I currently work at but it's awesome stuff and should be sold SOON!)
xoxo, Ally

These are great recommendations. I use a straightener a couple of times a week and plus with dyeing the grays (sob)my hair is getting a little on the brittle side. Will definitely be trying the Moroccan Hair Mask. Thanks for the tip!
