The Art of Accessorizing

(Zara top + jeans, UO hat, Madewell pumps, MK watch, vintage bag, Forever21 necklace)

I just LOVE how one's careful selection of accessories can really 'form' an overall look and outfit. I recently got this top from Zara -- love how light and airy it is, and of course, adore the minty colour (I'm obsessed with all things mint right now!). I knew I wanted to keep it relatively simple by pairing it with my light skinny jeans. But you know that feeling, when you have two simple pieces (nothing wrong with that! I'm a firm believer of less is more) but you can definitely sense that something is missing? The answer, more often than not, is that the outfit needs some awesome accessories to pull it together. Thus, had to go with my fav leopard pumps, and this camel-coloured bohoesque hat. Oh, and of course my vintage purse that I love oh-so-much because it's vintage, has a wonderfully worn tan leather and gold chain strap.

Mint & Metallic

(H&M tank + clutch, Levis shorts, Sam Edelman shoes)

Hey everyone! This weekend we had some amazingly warm weather which made me opt for my go-to shorts for Summer: my Levi's cut-offs! I paired it with a minty green top from H&M that was super light and airy, perfect for a full day of sunshine. I also debuted my brand new Summer sandals by Sam Edelman (see below!). I have been contemplating purchasing these for while, and I'm so happy I finally decided to go with them. They are SUPER comfy and I love the subtle gold heel. Excited to wear these all season!

Spring Neutrals

(Shorts, sweater, collared shirt - h&m, shoes - Madewell, bag - Zara, watch - Michael Kors)

Hello hello! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, and of course, an amazing Mother's Day :*) Spring has finally sprung, which means it's the perfect time to bring one's pastels to the forefront of the closet. That's right, push those dark & dreary wintertime pieces far, faaaaaaar back and deep within your closet, where they cannot be touched! I really wanted to pull together a fresh outfit this weekend. The mesh sweater is a recent purchase from h&m -- and although it is a sweater, the mesh material allows for it to be a rather light and layerable piece for Spring. The shorts, from h&m as well, are such a pretty pastel pink colour that almost look white in the sunlight -- most def. a Spring staple. I love the juxtaposition of a long-sleeved top, like a blazer or sweater, with a crisp pair of shorts. This combo can be rather tricky as it can only really be done in very particular weather: warm (enough to wear shorts), yet still slightly breezy (enough to wear long sleeves without perspiring.. haha).
P.S. Some of you may have noticed that I cut an inch or two off my hair. It was definitely time for it! I'm slowly but surely saying bye-bye to my ombre. I miss having healthy hair!

French Connection Blogger Panel

This past Friday I had the amazing opportunity of speaking on a blogger panel hosted by FCUK for the America's Next Top Model Live Canada show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (whoa, that was mouth-full! Ha). I was alongside four other super-talented bloggers (Kendall Donaldson, Bobby Raffin, Rachelle Saevil and Michelle Bilodeau). This was my first time speaking on a panel about something I've grown to be so passionate for, this blog. I've heard other bloggers describe their blog as their 'baby' haha.. and I must say, I feel the exact same way as I've tried my best to nurture it for over three years now with my thoughts, inspirations, and of course, photographs. Having the awesome opportunity to meet fellow Toronto bloggers who share the same love for blogging as I do was a truly inspiring and motivating experience.
